Fiber Optic Patch Cord

A fiber-optic patch cord is a fiber-optic cable capped at each end with connectors that allow it to be rapidly and conveniently connected to telecommunication equipment. This is known as interconnect-style cabling.

Fiber optic patch cords are used to make patch cords from equipment to fiber optic cabling links. It has a thicker protective layer and is generally used for the connection between the optical terminal and the terminal box.
